Over time, this has led to a particular interest in how prolonged strain affects the body, the nervous system, relationships, identity, and the possibility of recovery.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The books on this site grew out of that clinical experience, together with an effort to describe burnout in language that is both careful and understandable.
